Stop for no man.

Unpacking is proving difficult. It seems an excessive amount of work since this is all a dream from which I plan to wake up. I write bad haiku.

My kitty watch runs.
He replaced the battery
for Valentines Day.

Then go out to explore the boundaries of my dream (aka the neighborhood).

  1. If it helps... remember you don't have to stay in Portland forever. You don't have to be married to be in LA. It might help to tell yourself you'll give Portland 3...4.. 5.. months and re-evaluate at that point.

A condo can be rented. I've done that for years with the place in Chicago I thought I'd want to live in forever.

    1. Thanks for your thought.

What changed that you no longer wanted to live in Chicago forever?

  2. Portland is a kick ass place to live, at least for me it is. I think when you move any place new there is a serious yukky period and then it just keeps getting more awesome!

    1. I can tell it is. I think I'd be really happy to be here if Leif and my little boy dog were here too. It's a lot to ask of a city that it replace them, emotionally.

  3. Everything got broken. It's all right for you to take time gluing it together again. I don't live in Portland, but it is definitely a kick ass place.

    1. As far as I can tell I'm the only thing that got broken in the move. I keep wondering why Leif isn't broken. I don't think the doggies are.

    2. Delayed grief - where did you get that watch? The only reason I'd wear one is if it were that watch.

    3. It is excellent, isn't it? I got it at a cat show at the Santa Monica Civic Center. It's possible the vendor hits the cat show circuit.

  4. Moving stuff is one of the least liked things I like in life!
Don't unpack unless you plan to stay awhile!

    1. I've always thought moving is one of the worst experiences to be had in a 1st world country.
